Winter hair care do's

Winter is a season of enjoyment for the young and old alike with hot chocolate, thick clothes and reruns of your favorite shows where all you can feel is warm and cozy. Now that is certainly the best part about the chilling season but unfortunately, the season we adore has its downsides too! We can never seem to surpass those dry patches and the frigid cold and our mane seems to have a mind of its own! Winters tends to make the hair brittle, frizzy and unruly which makes it a task to step outside looking stunning.

So what do you have to do? Just follow our simple fixes of course!

 Find a different routine:
What works for your hair in the summer will not necessarily work in the winter. Shift to deep scented hair products like vanilla, cinnamon and musk to help imbibe that feel of the season into your hair. While a daily shampoo was great in the summer to wash off the grime, that’s not the case in the winter so avoid washing your hair on a daily basis and unnecessarily deplete your hair of its natural oils. Be gentler with your hair when you comb it and tie it as breakage tends to increase during this time.

A plain shampoo job will get cleanse your hair but add the extra step of conditioning on a regular basis.  After your shampoo is washed off, lightly massage a blob of conditioner into the ends of your hair and leave it for a couple of minutes. Make sure to keep it far from your roots as conditioner is specifically to repair the follicle damage of the strand. Even if you skip your hair wash every now and then, conditioner will keep it smooth and silky for days.

Dry Shampoo:
While shampooing your hair on a daily basis in avoidable, girls with an oily scalp may scoff and wonder how else to keep their hair from getting greasy. That’s what dry shampoo is for! Dry Shampoo, which has newly entered the beauty scene in the country is of a powdery texture and is meant to extend the results of your hair wash. So even if you have an oily scalp or greasy hair and have no time to wash your hair, run a small amount of dry shampoo through your hair and see your hair get back to it’s lively, bouncy self again!
